This first-class course winds through 240 acres of rolling, natural wetlands. It features several island greens. "Chicagoland Golf" Magazine rated the course #33 on the list of best course's in the Chicago area. Discounted rates on green fees are available on Monday and Tuesday. Nine hole green fees for the weekends begin after 2 PM and cart rentals are included with weekend green fees.

Great golf in Illinois, Jun 29, 2008

Every time I have been there I have had an excellent time. It is too bad that more people have had the same experience because now it has a lot more golfers on the weekends. It is a long haul for Chicagoans, but it is definitely worth it. Staff and course are just unbelievable. I wish it was closer.

18 months ago this course was finally purchased by someone who really wanted to make a statement about the course. They finally finished off the exiting log structure into a beautiful clubhouse/restaurant/bar. With fantastic views of the course, there are few clubhouses that can beat this "19th hole". The course itself did need some work, the greens looked like they had had some issues over the winter. There are plans underway to relocate holes 8 & 9 (which is a good thing, they are probably the most blah holes on the course) and build a 60 room hotel. All-in-all the course is still one of my favorite courses up in GR. Some TLC to the greens and this course is one of the best in northern Minnesota.
