Good, scenic course, May 02, 2005

A fun course to play, and probably the most playable in the area. The other offerings around here make the hills more of a gimmick than a feature. Allegheny is simply a nice track through the hilly regions of New York. It is admittedly a bit of a crap shoot as far as course and green conditions, however. But for what it is, it's an enjoyable day of golf. Very affordable.

"Enjoyable Round"
It is an average length course, but enjoyable. The fescue around the bunkers gives the course a nice look. There are some intersting holes such as one with a 2 tiered green right in front to make for a tough second shot from only around 60 yards. Some water but overall its fun and if you have the chance to play there do so.

"Great Secret"
Who would think that such a great course would be in Whidbey. The course has some challeging holes as well as some scenery. For some of you big hitters it has a couple of holes that tempt you to go for it. I wouldn't if I were you. Looks can be deciving. If they don't get you the slope on the 18th green will. Stick it close. A great secret.

"short but challenging"
while the course is very short..there are a few holes that require good ball placement or you will end up in the water..hole #2;#6;#11;#12 and #14.....good for the short game as well and for the price you can't beat it; however depending on when you go play can be sometimes very slow.
