This wooded course has many sand bunkers incorporated into its design. The fairways are very hilly, and some of the greens are elevated. Water hazards (three lakes) come into play on some holes. Locals say the scenery is extremely breathtaking.

Super course, Jun 28, 2004

This is one of Metro Atlanta's best kept secrets. Their greens are as good as anything I have played in a long time. If you want to improve your short game to get your handicap down, this is the place to play, plus the superintendent has got to be one of the best around to keep the course in such good shape in the heat of the summer. A MUST PLAY!

"Long time player"
I have played this coarse for the past fifteen years and have seen a lot of good changes. The fairways are in much better shape than in past years. The water hazards are clean and a challenge to the average golfer.The greens are in excellent shape. The only thing that is missing are sand traps. For someone just learning the game and wants to have fun, this is the place.

This is a great little course, with spectacular service, and subtle course designs that will keep your mind engaged, but will allow you to enjoy the peacefulness this sport provides. The grounds crew is continually trying to improve the courses conditions, and the golfers experiences as he/she works their way around to their best round ever.

"Good course, has all the basics, soon to be a hidden jewel"
I played here twice so far. The fairways were in pretty good shape. They recently hired a new superintendent from Charlotte National (Dino) who produces some of the best greens in Charlotte. With a little time, he will have those greens rolling right. He has already started re-doing all the bunkers. Some walks from green to the next tee would be impossible to make. It has some beautiful holes. Most bunkers did not have enough sand in them, but they're being re-worked now with some getting all new drainage and sand and some being filled in as grass bunkers. This will make it a fairer course.

Boundary Oak Golf Course
"Not kept up to its potential"
This is my childhood course where I learned the game, so naturally I may have a little favorable bias. I'm disappointed with what appears to be permanent "temporary" greens. When are they going to finally fix them, and why should they charge full price until they are fixed? Until then, I'd recommend Blue Rock Springs in Vallejo, Franklin Canyon off Hwy 4, Delta View in Pittsburg, or Lone Tree in Antioch. Boundary Oak is a beautiful setting though, for those who enjoy viewing the surroundings before making a shot, just as the presentation of a fine meal seems to add to the taste just before devouring it. The layout also provides for some fun shots-- nice elevation changes and you'll use most of the clubs in your bag.
