| Highland Ridge is a modest course that can challenge a good golfer without frustrating less talented golfers. There is an excellent mix of hazards, slopes and distances. I really loved the 17th hole, par 3, over a pond and waterfall. |

| I have been playing golf in the Northeast Wisconsin area for over 30 years. I have played every course in the Green Bay/DePere area and most of the courses within 50 miles of Green Bay.
I have played Highland Ridge every year since it opened with just 9 holes and watched the owners develop it into a truly enjoyable golf experience. Both the front and back nine offer a variety of challenges. There are no "easy" holes, and every hole has some sort of hazards. There is a good mix of tree, sand, water, and out of bounds hazard. The water is usually just a creek that you must cross, but these creeks vary in distance from the tees, so most golfers will be challenged with shot/club selection on at least one tee. Most holes have some degree of dog leg or at least a "bend."
My favorite hole is #17, a picturesque, but challenging par 3 over a pond and waterfall.
Highland Ridge is not the most or least difficult course in the area. It is a great course for starters or season golfers alike. |
