This course demands accurate shot placement. The greens are small and shots do not hold well because the greens are heavily sloped. The Senior PGA Tour's Ford Senior Players Championship is played here each June. "Golf Digest" rated this as the 15th "Best in State" course for 1995-96, and 18th best in 1997-98.

| TPC is truly an upscale private facility. It is located inside a gated neighborhood. Homes are located on the front nine, but only a wild shot will reach them. When you first arrive, you are met by bag drop attendants. "Dale" greeted us, helping unload our trunk (four bags, shoes, etc.). He gave us a ton of information to get our day started. TPC provides golfers with complimentary (!) lockers and use of the locker room. A young man in the pro shop (unsure of his name. He was an Asian fellow as friendly and helpful as Dale) also helped us get our day moving. The driving range is free (you can hit balls forever during your stay!). As for the course, well, it's a TPC. Conditions are amazingly good. Water, long rough and sometimes painful pin placements are ready and waiting to provide you with a true test of your game. Afterward, we had dinner in their dining room. Check out the bar; flatscreen TVs everywhere! The food was fantastic. Our waitress was "Dawn", who was just as friendly as the rest of the staff. Overall, we very much enjoyed our time at the TPC. I will admit, we were guests of a member. Since this is a private facility, it is the only way to play the course. I am not sure of the cost of our day; it was probably fairly high, but being this is a private course (and a TPC) I suppose all this should be expected. |
