This is a 400-acre island course and is part of a private community. Lake Dora surrounds the course and runs alongside some holes. The fairways are mostly wide open, and sand bunkers outline the course in the true Joe Lee tradition. The greens are average-sized and quite undulating. The most difficult hole is #13, a 184-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot that must carry the entire length of the lake, usually with a cross wind affecting your shot. The shifting winds make this course a different challenge every day.

A round in paradise, May 11, 2006
reviewer: D.K. from Chesterfield, VA
Played this course on 4/28/06. Found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. The course is absolutely breathtaking and the wildlife frequently took my attention away from my game. Needless to say water coming into play on most holes was challenging, but I had come here for a relaxing round and scaring the alligator into the water was just icing on the cake. I will return to this course. not only to improve my score, but to enjoy the sheer beauty of the surroundings. Thanks for a delightful day in paradise.

Central Fl golf at its finest, Feb 26, 2004

This course is unbelievable. Just a short drive from Orlando. If this same course was in the city of Orlando, greens fees would be well over one hundred dollars, and the course would be packed. This course is very challenging, and beyond reasonable as far as price. One of the premier courses in the entire area.
