| This golf course takes a lot of "HITS", mostly unfounded. I moved here in late 2001 and started playing regularly early 2002. As with ANY golf course, the amount of rain received is a primary factor. In the four years I've been a member, I've seen "feast & famine". Right now it's "FEAST" .... recent rains have really helped the course, and after living in WEST "BY GOD" TEXAS for 29 years, this course is BEAUTIFUL! What I like about this course (I'm a bogey golfer.... SO ???) is that if you can play this course during "FAMINE", you can play ANYWHERE!!! The staff and maintainence employees have done an OUTSTANDING job keeping the course in such great shape. Come out and play 18 holes .... and play another, then try to understand that this golf course is not "AUGUSTA" or "Colonial" and was never meant to be! It's a PUBLIC golf course and I'm glad that Grayson College feels an obligation to make this course available AND AFFORDABLE for the citizens of this county.

| I have found that if the course management would use some water during the dry months it might be somewhat decent. Instead, it doesnt take much work to drive the ball 300 yards when it will roll for 150 of those yards. Putting on the greens is like putting on concrete. They tend to be hard and brown. Better care will result in better play. What do you expect for the price?? |

| The greens are horrible. You have to crush the ball to get it to go 20 feet, and it will probably be diverted along the way by rouge blades of grass. The fairways are wide open, but a good fairway shot might land you in some gravel on a couple of holes. Price is right, though. I've never played a cheaper course. |
