This club has one regulation eighteen hole course and one regulation nine hole course. Both courses were built on rolling terrain and feature undulating greens which are difficult to read, and plenty of trees that can alter your shots. The Eighteen Hole Course has water hazards (three lakes) coming into play on five holes. The Nine Hole Course is less challenging, but still a great place to work on you short game.

This is a beautiful course. You will still enjoy playing this meat grinder while your score goes through the roof. Nobody goes low on this course. The conditions are unbelievable and the staff is cordial. Don't pass up a chance to play here.

I found the course to be in excellent condition, challenging and peaceful. Our group played a round in under 4 hours and did not see another golfer the entire day. Very private.

Fort Cherry Golf Club
"Better than Quicksilver...and cheaper too!!!"
When golf is mentioned around the area of McDonald/Midway/Pittsburgh and it's surrounding areas, most people think of Quicksilver. I urge everyone to play Fort Cherry Golf Club. The staff there treats you like real true people, and are there to serve you. Their gentle courtesey helped me to feel comfortable, even before i stepped forth on the golf course. The course itself is always in beautiful shape. IPrices are right; play is magnificant. I recommend Fort Cherry to all vistors and friends that I know are comming to the area.

Wendigo Golf Club
"3 today 4-5 tomorrow"
18 months ago this course was finally purchased by someone who really wanted to make a statement about the course. They finally finished off the exiting log structure into a beautiful clubhouse/restaurant/bar. With fantastic views of the course, there are few clubhouses that can beat this "19th hole". The course itself did need some work, the greens looked like they had had some issues over the winter. There are plans underway to relocate holes 8 & 9 (which is a good thing, they are probably the most blah holes on the course) and build a 60 room hotel. All-in-all the course is still one of my favorite courses up in GR. Some TLC to the greens and this course is one of the best in northern Minnesota.

Sagamore Hampton Golf Club
"not too bad"
The pesky drainage ditches cost me an expensive Strata ball; I was not happy. Lots of weeds, and debris in the fairways. Greens were ok, staff was a little on the conceited side. But, I am a tough critic, and overall, this place wasn't bad. I do recommend it, quite a value.
