The best in the west, May 13, 2010 |

| I predict Yoakum County Golf course to be the best in the west 3 days ago. Gaines is too predictable (wind pit) and Tahoka is the goat farm (bless 'em). Yoakum is full of dirt traps, drinks (lakes and rivers), and oil pits. If you stay out of those you get flush (during summer) greens and fairways. If not, look out for snakes and range balls. No Wiley, but the characters are still available. |

Got a little bite to it, May 08, 2009 |

| Up and down hills with water better than most west texas flat courses, good golfers can score here and bad golfers can lose balls and get eaten up. |

Best bet for the money, Mar 29, 2004 |

| This was my home course while growing up in West Texas. For the money, it's the best value anywhere. The fairways are well kept and the greens are in excellent shape. It's worth the one hour drive from Lubbock. It is a course that allows beginners to learn the game of golf, while creating a challange for the more advanced player. It is an excellent course for families, or just some buddies looking to play 18. One can easily drive, play 18 and come back in the same time frame it would take to complete a round at Meadowbrook--and it's a lot less money. Play it just one time, and you'll be hooked. |
