This extremely challenging course has narrow fairways, fast and sloped greens, and water hazards coming into play on many holes. There are several changes in elevation throughout the course. Much of the natural desert plants and vegetation have been left in place, adding to the difficulty of the course. "Golf Digest" ranked it 30th among the "Top 75 Public Courses" for 1990. There is a discount for SCGA members after 11 AM, and there is also an early-bird special.

Awesome Links Course, Feb 14, 2004

This course is a hidden gem in the desert. The holes are all long and narrow, the greens are always in fantastic shape (except in July and August but it is a 110 degrees anyway). Watch out for desert rabbits, they are everywhere. The course might be a little to windy from June through September.

Meadow Woods Golf Club
"Meadow Woods"
Meadow Woods is a nice course, althought not the best I have ever played on. The fairways are narrow due to the fact that it is located in a small neighborhood. The Par 4 13th should be pretty much played as a par 5 unless you can hit the long ball really well, or like to loose some balls. The fairways were also pretty dry as was the rest of the course. Fast greens make even the easy puts challenging.

For a fast round of 9-holes this course is very enjoyable, and actually quite challenging. The greens are all in good condition throught the year, and so are the fairways. Par 3's range from 90-yards to 205-yards, and the par 4s are long enough where you can hit driver and/or 3-wood. Wonderful practice putting green surrounding water and driving range is also nice. For the price and convenience of walking on without a long wait, it's a winner in my book.
