fun fun, May 26, 2007

I live in southern Illinois and play around 200 days a year. I played this course for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and had a blast. This course is just simply fun!!! I am a single digit handicap, and really enjoyed the hospitality and the food. I will be going back real soon.

The course at Hidden Trails Country Club is improving every year I play it. I started playing Hidden Trails in 2004 and I have seen many improvements in the playing conditions. I would recomend anyone in s.e. mo that has not played the course to go out and play.

Hidden Oaks Golf Course
"Hidden Oaks used to be in bad shape."
Hidden Oaks Golf Course was run down into bad shape for a few years. The course was never kept up in good shape. But now there are new owners that have brought the beauty back into Hidden Oaks Golf Course, within two years. Hidden Oaks it still young, but I do beleive it has changed dramatically.

"A South Florida gem"
This a great private golf course, with new TifSport fairways, TifEagle greens and new bunkering, all put in during the summer of 2002. Pete Dye's course is better than ever. The new gold (back) tees now play 6,616 yards with a 72.0/131 course and slope rating. This par 71 course is made up of narrow fairways, many tree-lined. Four par 4s exceed 400 yards with number 6 playing 442 yards and number 13 reaching 437 yards; tough holes by every standard. If you can find a member or locate a friend of a member, by all means make it a point to play this great South Florida golf course.

Los Alamos Golf Course
"Great challenge for your game"
This course is a challenging course for the average player up to the scratch professionals. The fairways are tight and lined with sparse pine trees. The course is an old style course, which means it has incredibly small greens. The greens are probably to most true rolling greens in the state of New Mexico due to being so old. The course is short and very opportune for low scores. I really enjoyed playing this course and the people around the club. They treat you well and the rates are EXTREMELY cheap for such a quality course. I suggest taking the trip up to Los Alamos to have a great round of golf and also to enjoy the sights of the Jemez Mountains.
