This is a wide open county course without any water hazards. The course was designed to have mostly par 3's, some are over 240 yards long. There are only two par 4's. The fairways are tree lined, and the greens are well bunkered. The terrain is mostly flat, but there are some elevated greens. Green fees are discounted every Tuesday after noon.

The Course is the worst I have ever seen it...I have been playing Dix Hills for as long as I Can Remember...The Greens are concrete, and have fungus all over them...The tee boxes have been temporary tees for the entire season, I don't even think the grass is ever cut...Save your money Untill they get their act together

I've golfed at Dix Hills for the past three years and I love it. Its only nine holes which is great if you dont intend to spend 4 hours of the day at a golf course. Plus it's kid friendly after noon which is refreshing if you are trying to get a child into golf.

This nine hole public course is one of the best kept secrets in Suffolk County. This course is maintained well and tee time waits have never exceeded 30 minutes on the weekends. This course is a great value.

IT MAY ONLY BE 9 HOLES BUT TO PLAY HERE IS BETTER THAN SITTING AT HOME IT GIVES YOU THE CHALLANGE OF THE SHORT GAME WITH 3 HOLES YOU CAN DRIVE TO THE GREEN IF YOU ARE STRAIGHT WITH YOUR DRIVER RECOMMEND TO PLAY IT WHEN YOUR TOO BUSY FOR 18 BUT NEED A GOLF FIX, AND A BAD DAY AT GOLF BEATS A GOOD DAY AT WORK JUST BECAUSE IT LOOKS EASY YOU STILL CAN'T PAR THIS COURSE HAVE FUN TRYING.........

nice executive course. however, women workers are morons and very unprofessional and lacking knowledge of the courtesies of the game which makes play unpleasureable. fees are a little high for a town course.
