This club, which claims to have the oldest course in America, was originally founded in 1886 and has been listed by the USGA as one of the first 100 clubs established in the U.S. In addition, it was recognized in "GOLF Magazine's" 1995 list of "The First 100 Clubs in America." The greens are small, and the fairways are wide open. The terrain varies between hilly and flat. There are a few sand bunkers and one dogleg right fairway in the layout. There are additional tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round.

| A quality golf course set in beatiful Dorset Vermont. Fine staff, and a perfectly well maintained course. The aspect of the course being private brings a homier feel to the place, so that members and staff alike feel at home. Good dinning besides. |
