Douglas Golf Course

Leslie Canyon Rd
Douglas, AZ 85607
Phone: (520)364-3722

This course, which expanded to eighteen holes in 1997, features water hazards coming into play on seven holes. In addition, there are enough challenges throughout the course to keep even the most experienced golfer thinking about his or her next shot. The previous front nine holes are rather flat and wide open. There are three slight doglegs fairways and one severe dogleg. The greens are fairly small in size. The new back nine holes are a desert-style layout. There are several water hazards and out-of-bounds that come into play. The fairways are hilly and undulating with many of the greens being elevated. There is also one severe dogleg fairway on the back nine. There are more slight doglegs if hitting from the back tees.

don't go unless someone else is paying, May 31, 2011

nice historic club house/lounge from there it is down hill - my minority playing partner was charged 16 dollars more then i was, the fairways were dead grass and dirt and the greens - i've seen 20 yr old indoor outdoor carpet in better shape. you could not get anykind of read or true roll on them. to top it off they have inmates from the nearby prison doing maintence who are loud and noisy and seem more interested in screwing around and have no golf etiquette. course needs lots of work!!! not worth the $32 with cart

The front nine was a bit short and confusing to find which tee boxes are the right ones to hit off of. The back nine was longer and better to play. The greens are very soft to the point where you can see your own foot prints after your step. I like that but can't get much spin off of your approach shots. Can't beat the price $24 for 18 holes and no tee times just walk on anytime. But advise not to go during high school golf team practice.

Nice greens, May 20, 2004

The course overall is ok. The greens are very nice and hold very well. The courses' main weakness is the fairways.
