This short course features narrow fairways, plus many hills that can cause uneven lies. The main features that make this course so difficult are the various required blind shots. There is only one water hazard on the course and it comes into play on hole #5, a 140-yard, par 3. The signature hole is #18, a 550-yard, par 5, requiring an approach shot to a large, well-bunkered green. Robert Bruce Harris and Frank Duane have done redesigns on the course.

Great interesting golf course. However, most of the tee areas are under construction and there is many missing hole signs which makes first timer very difficult to follow.

Douglaston Golf Course is my favorite city course. The course is hilly and has great character. Certain holes have great city views. This course was just taken over by new management and the improvements have shown already. I'm also told the pro shop which is quite old will be fully renovated. If your a golfer do yourself a favor and make a tee time at Douglaston.

"Longest Corse I've Ever Walked"
The Creekview Golf Corse is an amazing golf corse . It's long and it's tough. And it also requires an extreme amount of skill. I recently had a tournament there in the fall of 2003 and believe me the extra money for the cart is worth it if you have to carry your own clubs.

Shawnee Lookout Golf Course
"Beautiful, Scenic, Challenging, HILLLLLLYYY"
I have played this course several times when traveling to the Cincinnati area and have found this gold course to be most scenic. First few holes are easy.. but this just to draw you into the ambush of trees, hills, water and rough that lie ahead. Very fun course to play. Nestled and secluded right in the corner of where three states meet, with views of the Ohio river and Great Miami River.

Wendigo Golf Club
"3 today 4-5 tomorrow"
18 months ago this course was finally purchased by someone who really wanted to make a statement about the course. They finally finished off the exiting log structure into a beautiful clubhouse/restaurant/bar. With fantastic views of the course, there are few clubhouses that can beat this "19th hole". The course itself did need some work, the greens looked like they had had some issues over the winter. There are plans underway to relocate holes 8 & 9 (which is a good thing, they are probably the most blah holes on the course) and build a 60 room hotel. All-in-all the course is still one of my favorite courses up in GR. Some TLC to the greens and this course is one of the best in northern Minnesota.
