Hidden beauty, Jun 15, 2004 |

| Wow, what a round. When you see this course from the road, it appears to "wide"open and a piece of cake. Boy, was I wrong! Number 2, a par 5 has a narrow tree lined fairway. Number, 3, what a beauty of a par 3, and not as easy as it looks. Every golfer in Delaware and the Eastern Shore should try to play this course, if they can. |

Mapledale....a lot harder than it looks..........., Apr 07, 2004 |

| There's water on serveral holes and many fairways are narrow and tree lined. The signature hole is #3 and is a par 3 with water, sand and trees all coming into play. # 6 is a sneaky long par 4 at about 450 yds. and # 7 is almost as long with OB on the left and trees on the right.# 13, also a par 3 is probably under rated in terms of difficulty as it's a long, uphill shot of about 175 to 180 yds.Trees and OB on left and trees on right as well. #18 is a long par 5 at about 575 to 580 yds. Usually, this plays into the wind. Mapledale is an older course that has stood the test of time in terms of being both fun and challenging to the par player as well the recreational player with a high handicap. |
