This course, which is the former home of the PGA, has semi-wide fairways that are tree lined. The greens are small, elevated and well bunkered, and there are some water hazards to avoid. Dick Wilson and Arthur Hills have done redesigns on this course.

Home of PGA/built by Donald Ross, Aug 18, 2004 |

| I see no mention of this course being the original home of the PGA. It was also built by Donald Ross in about 1927. If you have played other Ross course you will notice similarities. Such as small greens, most build up as a crown. The design gives you many options when chipping. I thought the course was rather well layed out. If you can keep it in the fairway you have a chance at a nice round. If not it means a lot of trouble. You cross a creek on four holes and another hole has a large pond on a dog leg. I enjoyed playing the course very much and the staff is very friendly. I understand they will be rebuilding traps and greens in part of master plan. |

Best kept secret in the Tampa Bay area, Jul 16, 2004 |

| I played Dunedin Country Club and found it to be a hidden gem. It was the home of the PGA in the 40's,50's. This historic Donald Ross designed course is challenging for the length. I used about every club in my bag. Reasonably well maintained and close enough to the Gulf to have a nice sea breeze. What you see is what you get, difficult without being 'tricked' up. Very resonably priced and definitely well worth the fee. "Try it you'll like it". |

| We had a great round at Dunedin. We found everyone so friendly. We were playing behind some of your senior members playing in a competition after 9 holes we overtook them as in our country a lot of people just play 9 holes when they arrived behind us at the next tee we apolized and asked them to go ahead of us,as in our country we would have been in big trouble but your guys were so nice and insisted we play on.Then asking how we got on when we saw then in the bar True Gents. The course is inviting and the greens interesting. Coming from England it is nice to play in such nice weather with buggys. Here we have to walk and it usually rains. Thanks for your kindness. |
