This Ken Dye course is an American links design, but with all the heather lining the fairways it has a distinct Scottish appearance. The Animas River comes into play on the borders of some back nine holes. There are water hazards (from man-made lakes) that come into play on fifteen holes. Many of the greens are elevated, double-tiered, undulating, and well bunkered. The most difficult hole is #4, a 558-yard, par 5, with a double dogleg fairway and a river bordering the left side of the fairway. The 5,982-yard ladies' tee also has a men's course rating of 68.2 and a slope of 112.

Wicker Park Golf Course
"Great place to go have fun!"
This course is a fun and challenging course. I gave it 4 stars because no course is perfect. The only problem with this course is there is a lot of trees which means there are usually a lot of leaves on the ground, especially in the fall. You also have to think about the trees themselfs, because no matter what everybody tells you, trees are NOT 90% air.

Marshall Canyon Golf Club
"Trickier than you think and don't EVER walk."
Marshall Canyon is a fun course with some quirky holes but for the most part it is pretty fair. The greens are trickier than you think and there are some hole placements that totally suck if you get above the hole. It is a hilly course that you don't want to walk unless you are in very good walking shape. All in all, it is a good course with a decent price.

Twin Lakes Golf Club
"Hidden Golf Jewel In the Ozarks"
The Twin Lakes Golf Course is an 18 hole par 70 course with tree lined fairways and bentgrass greens. This is a semi-private course opeerated by its over 350 members. The course is open to the public on a daily fee basis. Visitors to the Twin Lakes area find this challenging course a delight. The information provided about this site on golfable.com is dated. The course has experienced significant upgrades in the last few years and provides a challenge for those used to wide open courses. Eagle Ridge Golf Club
"Toughest course I've ever played."
I live in Arizona and I've played golf on many courses and Eagle Ridge gave me the most bang for my buck. Challenging holes, beautiful scenery, and reasonable prices. I'd reccommend this course to seasoned golfers, beginners may have trouble with some of the bunkering and forced carries but nobody said golf was fair. Pull out the big stick and let it rip in Gilroy. Don't forget to say hello to Uncle Frank.
