This Scottish links-style course has a few holes that are outlined by trees, but for the most part the holes are defined by the thick heather grass rough. "Golf Digest" rated hole #2, a 607-yard, par 5, as one of the toughest 100 holes in the U.S. The same publication rated this as the 12th "Best in State" course for 1995-96, and the 15th best for 1997-98. Water hazards (seven ponds) come into play on eight holes. The course is closed on Mondays until noon. Unaccompanied guests may only play on Mondays.

hey i work here like Josh and i have to agree with him that it is great. the best course ive ever played, not to mention the most challenging. golf is a battle of wits between two unarmed combatants.

I work here and have found that this course is one of the finest, best kept and most difficult courses i have ever played. The fun of this course is in the challenge of every hole, daring you to make one move or the other, with severe consequences awaiting the wrong decision, but isn't golf always that way! Very fun, I love it here.

A Masterpiece, Feb 13, 2004
reviewer: David Hahn from USA
One of the best golf courses in the country. Very well balanced holes. equal amounts of doglegs left and right. Lengths vary so that almost every club in the bag is used. The rough is three feet tall if you miss the fairways. Very tough but very fair. Just simply one of the best in the USA.
