This course is ideal for beginners, yet challenging for advanced golfers. The front nine is open, and the back nine is tight with mature trees and lateral water hazards coming into play on every hole. The signature hole is #15, a 225-yard, par 3, with a lateral water hazard and sand bunkers on both sides of the green. Geoffrey Cornish designed the back nine, which opened in 1963.

Short course for beginners. Greens are small-medium sized and par fours are very reachable. Course is in pretty good shape however not my favorite course.

at least 3 of the par 4's are very reachable on the drive especially 6 and 7. this course is great for beginners because it is wide open on the front which leaves plenty of room for error. many scores on this course don't translate to other course's because it is pretty easy. many of my scores on this course are in the low 80's where at other local courses are in the 90's. If only playing 9 play the back nine.

I run a golf league that has played here for years and the course is very good and offers something for all levels of play. The staff is very professional and friendly and the course is always in tip-top shape, especially for a "public" course. The practice facilities are great... The staff is very helpful and knowledgable and the facilities offer a little bit of everything from a driving range to a practice putting green and even practice bunkers. I would definately recommend this course to anyone.

I was visiting family in the state for the first time and had a chance to play this course. I had a great time and found it to be a strong challenge for this semi pro golfer. That # 15 hole would be a par 4 at most other courses. Anyone would have a great time here. The staff at the clubhouse were as professionals as could be. If you have a chance to play, I would play this one. Thanks to the Ridder Golf Course for a great day.

A very pretty, well maintained course. The front nine is open and the back nine is more difficult as indicated on the website. Some par 5's on the back nine are a little long for the average golfer but that is what golf is all about. A very enjoyable course.

wide open early holes--tough greens to hit--well-bunkered--back nine tighter and more challenging--rough has been expanded--woods often thinned so finding ball is easy--excellent range facilities including bunker by green and loads of grass tees
