This short course's wide-open fairways were built on hilly terrain, so expect some uneven lies. The undulating greens are small. The signature hole is #8, a 612-yard, par 5, requiring a tee shot from off an elevated tee, and later an approach shot to an elevated green. There are additional tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round.

If you ever saw the movie you'd know what I mean in describing this golf course. With only nine holes, it feels like you're reliving the same shot... over and over again!

The East Liverpoool Country Club is a nine hole course. It features a links style course that has elevated greens on eight of the nine holes. Wooded areas and strategically placed bunkers add to the beauty and challange of the course. The entire course is served by an automatic watering system. The undulating greens can provide interesting pin placemets. The ninth and eighteenth holes are served by two different greens.

Pines Municipal Golf Course, The
"Tough for it's size"
I'm origianally from Toccoa and have played this golf course many many times. While only a 9 hole course, it is worth the money to play it. It is far less expensive than most golf corses and offers real challenges for even experienced golfers. The terrain is extremely hilly and almost every hole has an extreme change in elavation. The green's are extremely small and very very fast. During the summer the fairways and greens are fairly well manicured although winter play tends to be a little harder on some holes due to a harder fairways from less moisture. Fairways are extemely tight with hundreds of opportunities to lose balls in pine forests and a courseside lake on the last two holes. Overall, not an allstar course but for a quick, challenging, and inexpensive round well worth the time.

"Scenic and challenging"
This is a beautiful and well designed course. The course can prove to be challenging for both the beginner and scratch golfer alike. The high grass that seperates some of the holes can be frustrating, so you would be well advised to keep to the left on such holes. During the fall the greens are usually riddled with leaves and twigs so spring and summer would be your best bet. The developer did an excellent job incorporating the natural surroundings into the course. With a tee off the top of a ridge on hole one, to the natural rocks that appear throughout the course, Greystone Golf Club in Dickson is sure to give you the feeling of connecting with nature as you connect with your ball.
