Eisenhower Park Golf Course - Red Course
Eisenhower ParkEast Meadow, NY 11554
Phone: (516)572-0327Fax: (516)542-0015
This particular facility offers three regulation eighteen hole courses. The Red Course is the longest and most challenging because of all its dogleg fairways and sand bunkers. The fairways vary in width, and the greens are fast and in excellent condition. The White Course is elevated and plays straight out away from the clubhouse, then straight back to the clubhouse. The fairways are wide open, and the greens are fast. The Blue Course is the shortest of the three, but it has dogleg fairways, plus sand and grass bunkers that will cause you problems. Beginners will like the pace of golfing here because the courses play slow. Water only comes into play on the Red Course, but there are still flocks of geese flying over head that you may observe while playing the other two courses. There are also discounts available for the disabled and volunteer fire fighters. For tee times call (516) 542-GOLF. This public facility is one of five municipal golf courses in Nassau County. The other courses are Cantiaque Park Golf Course, Christopher Morley Park, N. Woodmere Park and Bay Park.

Non Golfers dictate golf carts, Aug 06, 2007 |

| This used to be a nice course, but since they decided to force the use of carts under the false belief that using carts is faster, the pace of play has slowed to a crawl 5 1/2 hour rounds are now the norm. Course is also being effected by the over use of carts. Too bad we let non-golfers dictate this as a money making scheme. If they needed the money (they don't) then raise the rate. If you need a cart, and wish to experience a nice course you can take one. If your a golfer, then you can leave the keys at the desk! |

If i was blind, Aug 19, 2005 |

| You better learn how to bide your time while playing your 5 and a half hour round here. Also, there are no 200, 150 and 100 yard markers in the fairways. I found myself eyeing out yardages because I didn't feel like conducting mass searches for sprinkler heads all day. Course was in great condition but the aforementioned reasons make the experience unenjoyable. |
