Good course for the money, Aug 21, 2011

Although it's not the best maintained course, there is something that keeps bringing me back here. The staff is friendly, the greens fees are cheap ($16 for 18 holes), and although the course isn't super challenging, you can still get yourself in trouble if you aren't careful. If you're expecting manicured greens, lush fairways and gnarly rough, go elsewhere. But, if you want to go out and play golf in a relaxed and kind of quirky atmosphere, come here.

Luck Golf Course
"Luck Golf Course in Luck, Wisconsin"
The Luck Golf Course is a well established, beautiful course with bent grass fairways surrounded by large mature oaks. It is one of the best courses in the area. The course is challaging yet very rewarding for all levels of golfers. Located in the Village of Luck next to beautiful Butternut Lake, it is "in town" but off on its own in a lovely park like setting. Don't be surprised to see deer running accross the fairway during an approach shot. I found it to be the best around, one that you will love to come back to time after time.

Course is well laid out, no worry of hitting into or being hit by other fairways. Golf community with housing that doesn't inhibit play. Bent grass greens are small, but fast and true. Traps need work. Rolling terrain provides challenge. Water hazards on about half the holes. Pretty course.

"Dutch"
A tremendous couse in a beautiful mountain setting, especially in September and October when in full fall foliage, the afternoon temperatures in the low 70's and the skies so blue the horizon lines become razor sharp. The back nine challange you with mountain streams, blind doglegs, an occasional buck jumping from a creek bed and or lofty tee boxes daring you to choose a loftier iron for dropping it between the aspens and the traps.... Not too many courses in the world offer better views, thinner air for longer drives, or nicer people to pamper your needs. July through mid October is prime... take plenty of time and the closest of friends, I guarantee you a memorable experiance and a challanging round!
