This short course, which added a back nine in fall, 1995, was built on hilly terrain, so expect uneven lies. In addition, water hazards come into play on a few holes. Most notably, the newly-built nine holes feature tree-lined fairways and undulating greens.

Not long but tuff little course, May 19, 2007

I haven't been golfing long,but I've been on several courses around stark co. and beyond. I have to say Spring Valley is one of the hardest golf courses I've ever played. You need to be accurate with your driver and know the distance of your irons to score well here. Water comes into play on several holes. The fairways,many are tree lined with elevation changes, are sloped in many areas making uneven,challenging lies a common thing. Undulating greens,some of which are three tiered, put your putting skills to the test.You will use most of the clubs in your bag. Many improvements in the short time I've played here tell me they are serious about making this a fair but challenging place to play our favorite sport.Brian and Kim own a very friendly place to go enjoy a great day on the fairways.
