This course was designed to preserve a natural look in the traditional style. The course is easily walkable, and walking is encouraged. The fairways on the first two holes are open, however, as the golfer progresses through the course, the fairways become more scenic. Trees line holes #7 through #9. Holes #10 and #11 play around a lake. The remainder of the holes return to a wooded environment. The quick greens are impeccably maintained year-round. They, too, add to the traditional look with a crowned design. There are no bunkers fronting the green, which allow for a bump-and-run approach strategy to the green. The layout affords a variety of holes for all golfers. Low handicappers especially find this course to be a challenge. By no means is this a straight up-and-down course. "GOLFWEEK" selected it 39th among "America's 100 Best Modern Courses" for 1999.

| My wife and I purchased a home here, very nice, but the golf course was not splendid at all. I dare say my boy that it was in need of serious repair. Tomorrow I shall play and hopefully things will improve. |
