slow play., Jan 02, 2012

Was hoping that the new owners would stop the practice of letting "Fivesomes" out ...yes I said fivesomes.Seems like some of the old time regulars are still trying to treat the place like their own club.

All Lies, Nov 14, 2010
reviewer: G. Master from NJ
This course has been going down hill since the beginning of the year, and for the price they charge it certainly is not worth the trip or experience to play. They advertaise open all year, and as of Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010 Sunny 62 degrees, they are closed for the season. Prime example of how bad this course really is, they get no play, and want none. This course is better off selling to new owners who care about golf, or close it and build something in it's place.

horrible owners, Oct 05, 2010
reviewer: unknown from nj
i feel bad for Mr. b having to deal with a owner who feels that a course can run it self this course could have endless possibillities with a solid staff in place while the pro shop seems decent, it seems as though the grounds crew is either missing of has no idea what they are doing. while the couse seemed to show signs of light at times it had really feel off greatly this summer

Terrible Establishment, Jul 29, 2010
reviewer: BirdiesAllDay44 from New Jersey
I played this course in mid-June and the course was in the best shape I had seen it in for years. Then I played it again the past weekend and it was in the WORST shape I had seen it in for years. The tee boxes were terrible, the fairways were burnt beyond belief and the greens were riddled with patches of dead 'grass'. Such a terrible experience. The staff is not helpful and it's every man for themselves while playing a round. Would not recommend this course and experience to my worst enemy!

lET ME COUNT THE WAYS, Jul 14, 2010
reviewer: sal moscuzza(MEMBER) from usa
I have been to many golf courses but have never seen a course in worse shape. Let me count the ways. 1-IT LOOKS LIKE A COW PASTURE( other courses during the drought are fine 2-Most of the ball washers are not functional 3-The sand traps are a disgrace 4-The play is slow with no one monitoring it 5-Non members go out before members 6-It seems 5 players are allowed in a group 7-The drinking water is stale most of the time 8-Often people are let out with wearing denim

Hanicapped, Jun 27, 2010

The course is in the best shape in years and it appears tht money is being invested there. The staff just does not seem all that friendly. We old -timers I guess were used to the very friendly people that used to greet us and try to accomodate us all the time. The manager is not handicape friendly. and the signs for the golf carts are now at least 100 or more yards from the greens whoch makes it difficult for aperson with a walking problem. It would seem that a responsible person that takes care of the course could be offered a handicap privaledge that could get hom toat least 30 yards to the green. SOme fairways are in wet lands area and I can understand no carts there. Other than that keep up the good work

I'll be coming back, Jun 25, 2009
reviewer: Jim from NJ
Now called "The Club at Old Orchard," the course is remarkably in good shape (it also is apparently a fully public course now). Compared to the walk-on prices at the county courses, it's very reasonable for the caliber course that it is. The restaurant is closed, but some of the workers said it would be opening later in the summer. The clubhouse is beautiful and I hope they get it running again soon. Great atmosphere on a great Tillinghast design.
