This course is highlighted by the more than 15,000 flowers growing in five decorative flower beds. The greens are medium-sized and fast. Water hazards (ponds and a creek) come into play on ten holes. Hole #15, a 434-yard, par 4, has trees lining both sides of the fairway at the spot where the green and fairway connect. The signature hole is #6, a 153-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over a scenic pond to the green.

Nice layout. Great conditions, Apr 05, 2004

I've golfed Wild Ridge about a half dozen times now. It is by far the nicest course in the Eau Claire area. The course conditions are usually nothing short of great. The holes are extremely intriguing and there are some decent challanges to be had. Not for the inexperienced golfer unless you don't mind higher than normal scores. I'm not going to comment on the Mill Run course as I haven't golfed it in about 6 years. I've heard the owners concentrated on the Wild Ridge side at the expense of the Mill Run side. Mill Run's layout is a little more amicable for the inexperienced golfer. The holes are shorter and there are fewer hazards to contend with than Wild Ridge.

Foss Park Golf Course

Don�t let this course fool you! If you play it from the blue tees it is a formidable challenge. There are some holes with tee shots that require a 200 yard carry over water (some days into the wind!) As well as a 190 yard plus par three with ponds and rivers all around it. The greens are nice and the grounds crew really works hard at keeping them that way. There are some narrow fairways guarded by 100 year old oak trees all the way down to the green on each side. It really plays more like a 126 slope and I believe it is rated incorrectly. Bring your straightest drives here.

"Magnificent"
This course is quite enjoyable to play. While length is not much of a factor, it plays much tighter than it appears. It is a fun course, and one that will test your risk/reward skills. The course is well developed, and very hilly. I would suggest that you ride while playing this course as well. This course is one that I wouldn't mind playing any day of the week.
