Unless you live close or are a beginner i dont recommend this course for a nice tough round. If your driving the ball well you will dominate this course.

Appledale is a nice little 9 hole public course. The fairways are tight, so you do have to watch for other golfers. The greens don't really get nice until about mid-May. Very nice setting, especially holes 5-9. I enjoy the course everytime I play.

the fairways are close together so you have a good chance of getting hit if it is crowded the greens are in bad shape and has a chaotic design. But if you love golf like I do it still is a good time.

River Plantation Country Club - Augusta/Biloxi Course
"Challenging Layout"
Fun, challenging layout with recently reworked tees and greens. Course conditions a little spotty and a "mud-fest" if there's even a chance of rain. $25 weekday green fee is fair but $50 on weekends is a little out of line with other area courses. Some good money games on most days.

Walden Ponds Golf Club
"Golf Outing"
I played in two outings at Walden Ponds golf club in 2003 and I found that the attention to detail was outstanding in both instances. The staff was extremely helpful and the golf course was one of the finest conditioned courses that I played in 2003 including private clubs. I highly recommend that you experience this golf course.
