This course is fun to play because it is fair to all players. The front nine is easy because of its wide fairways and large, fast greens. The back nine is more difficult because the fairways are narrower and the greens are hillier than the front nine. Water hazards (three ponds) come into play on four holes.

good course for beginners, Apr 14, 2005

I play this course frequently because it is only 10 min from my home. However, the greens are not well kept and fairways tend to be longer than they should be even though they are cut frequently (my own observation of cutting). Nevertheless, on the front nine the fairways are wide and forgiving. The back nine has some challenging holes for the average player with several water hazards and doglegs. The ninth and 18th holes are long (> 500 yards) par 5 but straight and fun to play because they are wide open. 19th hole could use some renovation. Best time to play, in my opinion, is early (7 am or early) morning.

At best it is a practice course. Terrible condition overall, many greens are more suited for putt-putt golf. Maybe it would be OK if the fee's were $10.

Springville Country Club
"Best Course in WNY"
Not an overly long course, it rewards accuracy off the tee and penalizes errant strokes. The greens are fast and true, and generally break less than one would imagine. The front nine is deceptive, punishing anyone who strays off the tree-lined fairways. The back nine can be attacked, but the sightlines off the tees can intimidate the first time player. Use long irons from the tee to keep the ball in play(only if they are are a strength in your game), and you will be surprised with the result. Putting is the primary key to scoring on this picturesque layout.

Meadow Woods Golf Club
"Meadow Woods"
Meadow Woods is a nice course, althought not the best I have ever played on. The fairways are narrow due to the fact that it is located in a small neighborhood. The Par 4 13th should be pretty much played as a par 5 unless you can hit the long ball really well, or like to loose some balls. The fairways were also pretty dry as was the rest of the course. Fast greens make even the easy puts challenging.

"Great Greens"
Great greens and thats just the start. From tee to green this course was in super shape. You must remember this is the dead of winter and the course was 5 star. The staff was very nice and told us to have a great time, most places just take your money and show you were the carts are. This is also a great course to walk.

Twin Hills Golf Course
"Short and well maintained"
Twin Hills is a short course - 6000 yards according to the card, and even that might be a stretch. The game starts on the greens here; they are among the most difficult in the area because of the undulations. The best holes are the par 3s. The facilities are barebones - no proshop, small and dated clubhouse. No frills golf, but they seem to have course maintenance down to a science.
