This course features undulating greens and wide fairways. The course was rated as 2nd in difficulty by "Golf Digest" for 1993. The signature hole is #4, a 393-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot up a narrow fairway, then an approach shot to a green protected by a huge oak tree. Guest must be accompanied by a club member in order to play the course. Special discount rates for guests are available after 3 PM.

I love this course. It is one of a kind. It is very Challenging, But fun for the hole family. Get the catch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great greens and thats just the start. From tee to green this course was in super shape. You must remember this is the dead of winter and the course was 5 star. The staff was very nice and told us to have a great time, most places just take your money and show you were the carts are. This is also a great course to walk.

Chief at Sky Lodge Golf Course, The
"Bring it on!"
The Chief is perhaps the most challenging course I have played in northern Michigan. While it is a toughy, especially from the tips, it brings out a carnal instinct in me to play it again because I know that with my new knowledge I can improve my score. The course was in great shape with its bent tees, greens and fairways nicely manicured. The pro indicated that they just lowered the length of the rough, which made a great improvement. Service was also great in the shop. Leave your driver at home and have some fun.
