This course covers more than 165 acres. There are eight lakes and fourteen environmentally protected areas scattered throughout the course. The course is cut through a hardwood forest with fourteen bridges over the water and valleys. Wildlife is abundant on the course, with bald eagles flying overhead from time to time. The 5,743-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 72.2 and slope of 131.

This cours is a must play for anyone that is near Annapolis or the surrounding area! It is a very tough course that forces you to think your shots out. The enviromental areas require you to lay up a lot of the time. This is a very beautiful course and you even get to drive your cart over a bridge that crosses the highway. This is a must play course!!!!

"Great layout"
This course has it all! Some very challenging holes, as well as a few tameable ones. The holes vary, some are flat and others have rising or falling terrain. Most fairways have some undulation. The scenery is serene, especially the holes near Lake Acworth. If you haven't played here, you are missing out on a GA treasure.

Lakes at El Segundo, The
"Great Course, Better Practice Facility"
The Lakes at El Segundo is a beutiful course with some stunning par 3s. The couse is made up of moslty short par 3s and a couple short par 4s. The holes are all very short and beautifully kept. This couse can be played by both beginners and eperts alike. The downsides are that the course is crowded, so expect to wait on the tees. I recomend reservations several days in advance. The other downside is that your day is over after only nine holes. The practice facility is excellent and Tiger Woods, who has a home in nearby Redondo Beach can often be seen playing there. It has an awesome driving range and a huge putting and chipping green. If your just out to get some practice in, or a quick nine holes, this is the place.
