This is a links-style course with each hole lined with homes and out-of-bounds stakes. The back nine is much more hilly than the front nine. The signature hole is #17, a 199-yard, par 3, which is known for its heavily-bunkered green. "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 5th "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996, and as the 13th "Best in State" course for 1995-96. They also ranked it 53rd among the "Top 75 Resort Courses" for 1992. The Sonnenalp Golf Academy is located on the premises.

One of the best in Vail area, Nov 20, 2004

While most mountain region courses offer beautiful scenery, this one presents it exceptionally well less a few holes closely bordering houses. On some holes it's a downright distraction but an enjoyable one. Very well manicured. Well worth the fees but I'd encourage getting used to the elevation before considering walking it
