In the early 50's a friend and i used to ride our bikes up to the course in the summer from Elmhurst to caddie Many great memories I think we got $2 for 18 holes. No carts at that time. I also caddied at the Westward Ho Country Club in Northlake in the late 40's.It was on Wolf road just north of the cemetary. After retiring I took my 1st golf lesson and now play 4 times a week

In July, I attended a wedding party held at the country club. Before you plan your party... get at least five recommendations from previous party members. Believe me... you won't be having your party there!

Great Day, Jun 22, 2004 |

Played last Thursday with 3 of my cousins (one is a member) Had a fantastic time. The course is tight but fair and the greens are slick but true. 18 is a great finishing hole. If you haven't golfed with Caddies, this is a great place to try them as the two we had were great. Friendly, helpful in reading greens but invisible when not needed...

I'm a caddy at River Forest Golf Course and i know first hand that the greens keeper and Ranger pull all the stops when it comes to the up keep and overall beauty of the course.
