Decent long course, Aug 31, 2005

The course is long and forgiving on the front 9 with more accuracy required on the back. The greens are furry and slow and do not break as much as they visibly appear. as with any public course, etiquette and lack of ball mark repair take their toll late in the season on the greens. Overall a pleasurable golfing experience.

Desert Hills Golf Club
"What a golf course should be."
I have played this private course 5-6 times since 1992 and have enjoyed it every time. Recently I played as a guest in a small tournament and the course was in excellent condition. There are 8 other courses in this retirement community, several owned and managed by large course management groups, but they are not in the same class as this one as far as quality is concerned. There are few if any divots on the greens, all players seem to be very conscious of divot repair on the entire course, including the rough, facilities are clean and fresh, clubhouse is pleasant and modern and the staff is great. I have just joined and am thrilled to death with a life-time membership to look forward to!
