This course's greens are large and undulating. The most demanding hole is #2, a 430-yard, par 4, which usually plays into the wind. Water hazards come into play on many holes.

| Although mostly flat, Oakwood has few easy holes. Keeping the ball straight is important for if you don't, you will likely be hitting your next shot sideways. the greens are in great shape and putt fairly. Difficult holes are 2,3,4,5,6,7,9 10,12,13,14,18. If it is not the length that will get you, it is the wind or the greens. A very friendly club with the best teaching pro in the state. |

Beautiful, demanding course with Incredible Greens, Apr 14, 2004 |

| This is a Perry Maxwell splendor. Nearly all of the greens slope back to front as a welcome reception to a usually long approach. The undulations on these greens are one small step away from being unfair they are so difficult. The reason they still qualify as fair is because of their immaculate condition and true roll. These bent grass greens are among the toughest but well maintained in the state. The golf course has imagination and if you don't drive it straight, you will be penalized. There are opportunities on the par 5's, but again, you must put your drive where it needs to be or a possible 4 can easily turn into a 7 or worse. Overall, this is a fantastic golf course. There's a reason why they have sectional qualifying for the U.S. Open at this wonderful track. |
