This links-style course places a heavy emphasis on shot accuracy. The greens are sloped, but roll true because there are no hidden breaks. There is a large lake coming into play on hole #12, a 428-yard, par 4. The course was built on rolling hills, so be prepared for many uneven lies. This course requires a lot of blind tee and approach shots.

Erie Golf Course - lots of hills!, Apr 16, 2004 |

| Erie Golf Course is hilly to say the least. Although, not a bad course if you want to work on blind approach shots and the art of hitting smaller sized greens. I find it to be a good beginning of the season course to play, because it's cheap and fairly easy to get on to play, without a tee time. Twilight fees are great, $10 after 5pm. Can't beat it! There are some holes that are truely challenging. Some of these include holes #4, #5, #8, #12, #14 and maybe #15 as well. All in all, I would recommend playing this course a few times, just so that you can appreciate a flat course! Have fun......... |
