This scenic course overlooks the Chesapeake Bay on five holes. The large greens are undulating and have medium speed, and its fairways were built on rolling terrain. Water comes into play on nine holes, including #15, a 485-yard, par 5, which has a stream crossing in front of the well-bunkered green. Additionally, the club has an excellent practice facility where chipping, putting and sand bunker practice is available. The 5,750-yard ladies' tee also has a men's course rating of 67.0 and a slope of 113.

If you have 6 hours to play golf this is the course for you. To many duffers that think they are Tiger play here. Long course from the white tees. Often in poor shape. Nice layout and beautiful location right on the shore of the Chesaeake Bay.

This course has huge fairways and greens, yet it is not boring. The grass is well cut and the rough is cut rleatively low. It is a fun course that doesn't punish.

PLAYED ROCKY POINT SUNDAY APRIL 24TH. THE FAIRWAYS WERE LACKING IN WEED CONTROL, PLENTY OF GREEN CLOVES. BENT GRASS ON THE GREENS...MAYBE, BUT THERE WERE 3 DIFFERENT COLORS OF GRASS ON THE GREENS. CLAY TRAPS... I MEAN SAND TRAPS!ONE "SAND TRAP" WAS FULL OF WATER AND LEAVES...MORE LIKE A WATER HAZARD. TAKE A DROP AND MOVE ON. RANGERS HAD NO CLUE, TRYING TO PUSH OUR 4SOME BUT EACH TIME WE GOT TO THE TEE BOX WE HAD TO WAIT 5 TO 10 MIN. SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE, THE GEM OF THE CHESAPEAKE IS NOW THE DUMP OF ESSEX!

Chalet Hills Golf Club
"Challenging but Fair"
If you play the course right you will have to use every club in your bag. Variety of holes, no two are alike. Trees, bunkers, water, doglegs and hills, this course has it all. Beginners with a wild driver will have some trouble but will not have to hit over obstacles except for two greens surrounded by water. Staff is great and course is getting in better shape each year.

"The New Miacomet"
Welcome to the new Miacomet!! Complete with 9 new golf holes capturing the essence of links golf. This Massachusetts island has a new name in public golf. This new layout if the wind is blowing is going to be a real challenge. The elevated tees give you a great look at fairway and positioning. The trick is to hit it there with the accuracy needed to conquer a 20 to 30 mile an hour wind. The golf staff were very professional in the running of the shop. Superb lessons provided by Mike's staff. State of the art lessons with Rob. Fantastic!! Bill Affinito's group are learning the paths and new roads that service the new course. Great job. And the new general manager, Alan Costa, fantastic, hard working, creative. The food service is top notch. come try the new course on Nantucket.

Midlakes Club
"Outstanding lake views"
Midlakes was a joy to play, the expansive views of Skaneateles Lake were unlike any I have seen in this area of New York. Fairways were lush, lots of tee choices, but a bit short. Still was challenging though for us average golfers. 5 stars for the scenery, 3-4 for the rest.

"Heaven"
this is the best golf course in the 813. i asked steve smyers one day during a round if the hole we were on was his signature. he looked at me and said, "would you beleive they all are." The 12th hole has a 4 acre waste bunker seperating 2 fairways. The left fairway is narrow with ob on the left but cuts off 100 yards. you'll need it as the hole is over 600 yds long. 18 yds of false front with greens that roll faster than the masters. you'll need to putt in your bathtub to get the speed down. 2 putts are welcomed and 3 putts aren't that bad. most of those members had game. if i had the money no doubt this is where i would spend it. i have to reiterate the greens. they repeatedly double cut and roll the greens and it appears as if someone used starch the way the grass lays flat so true. i've seen them at 13.5 amazing plus you play with a caddie. i was shooting 86 everytime i played westchase from the men's tees. i thought i had game when i shot a 76 at westchase with one mully. it took me four months to break 100 at old m playing every sunday after 2 (for caddies) yes many times i forfeited the chance to watch my buccaneers in order to play this incredible track. if you are ever invited to old m do not pass it up. it may be your only chance for the game of golf the way it was meant. personally running loops for lee roy selmon, wade boggs, tino martinez, scott hamilton and ernie banks to name a few was a very memorable experience. i never asked for any autographs but one of the members the binger took my pic with baseball legend ernie banks and offered me a copy. nascar racer dale jarret signed a pro v 1 for me and wayne hizenga gave his 8 caddies fins hats out of the two helicopters him and marino were traveling in. (he called them coppers) i cADDIED IN A US OPEN SECTIONAL THERE and even got to play in a caddie tourney where the millionares caddied for us. very down to earth people. i shot a 92 that day my first time breaking 100 holing a bunker shot for par on hole 5 ( #1 handicap ) which was the 17 th hole for me in the tourney. every time i turn on the tv i see somebody i met at old m. heaven is on earth.
