Being on the golf team, I use the course pretty much everyday from April til about late september. The course would be alot better if it wasnt as hilly. Not so much the back nine, but the front nine is all hills. It gets a little olf if you dont have a cart. But other than that, its not bad; greens are maintained and the fairways are always cut up to par.

One of the most exciting golf courses i have ever played on. With all the houses and shubbury that must be taken into play, the course can cause headaches with some holes, and pleasure on others. I recommend this course, exspecially if you know anybody who lives on the course! This allows you to personally get back on them if they ever hurt you in anyway. Just "slice" the ball and hid. Its that easy. And with the great staff at valley green with it's amazing women that look like they should be in a porn video, valley green golf course is the place to go. (Even if all you want to do is get some from the girls that work there)

Played this course a couple of times last visit to area. Was always use to paying $70 plus at other courses. Was surprised and enjoyed this course. It just goes to show that you don't have to spend big bucks to enjoy a round of golf. Will be playing this course again when I come down this spring.

"What a jewel!"
As described, hilly front 9, blind shots, sidehill lies, fast greens...backside links style, flat but river and ocean breezes can wreak havoc...it has been re-rated and the rough grown to 5 inches...if you can play here, you can play anywhere. Apparently their members have won a number of NJ Amateur championships as well as participated in US Opens...speaks to the challenge of this layout.

This course has been upgraded the last couple of years. The greens are fast and true and the tee boxes and fairways are well maintained. This is one of the nicest courses I have played in northeast Iowa.
