Briardale needs to speed up play., Jul 25, 2006

Biggest complaint was that the play was slow on the times that I have played the course over the years. Because the rangers allow fivesomes to play, instead of breaking up the groups into two and threesomes. The driving range is the next biggest complaint. The teeing areas are aligned at odd angles and most long distance hitters can hit, slice, or hook over the protective border netting. They should have made a nice nine hole course with more doglegs and trees. The surrounding houses would aggree with that too.

Springfield Golf Club
"Dakota's Pebble Beach"
One would hardly expect to find a gem like the Springfield Golf Club in this rural setting in an agricultural state such as South Dakota. This course demands your best game with keeping the ball in the fairway a premium. Although not a long course, the long hitter does not have a major advantage. Tree-lined fairways are expertly maintained and the greens are challenging. All of this quality golf is accompanied by some of the most beautiful scenery in the state. The course is built on bluffs overlooking Lewis and Clark Lake and the view from every tee is extraordinary. This wonderful nine hole golf course has earned the right to be called Dakota's Pebble Beach.

"in play for everyone"
now days coarses are becoming longer and longer. this coarse is an exception to that rule. the challenge to this coarse are the greens. when freshly mown they roll at a 12 on the stemp meter. On many of the greens it is impossible to stop the ball if you get above the hole. There is no advantage to hitting the ball a long way. 300 yards off the tee here does not help you very much. The nice thing about this coarse is that older folks that can hit the ball straight can score as well as the young pups who hit the ball a ton. Great coarse for all ages.

Green Oaks Golf Club
"What a course"
Green Oaks is a course for the starting out player as well as the pro of the game.#7 hole is my favorite got a hole in one there an it wasn't that hard.I growed up at this golf course from eating them wonderful HOTDOGS to driveing the bad ass golf carts. This is an all around the best course I like to play an it will be your too.from the bad bounces you get that turn into good ones.
