This course has many redwood trees lining the fairways. There are some holes with dogleg fairways, and others with lakes, streams and bunkers coming into play. The course is challenging but fair because there are no hidden hazards. An additional nine holes was completed in 1966 by Bob E. Baldock to make this an eighteen hole course.

The current management has put a lot of time and money into improving the course. The greens are in excellent shape and the fairways are better than they have been in years. This is now the best public course in Humboldt County.

"HomeTown corse"
The corse is not hard at all but a fun getaway for a sunny afternoon when you have nothin else to do besides play the best sport on earth, and wanna kick back a relax on our nice moderate speed golf carts. Cedarbrook is a great course for a good price. Course will test every golfer. At 6900 yards it's long enough to be a test yet not so long that it's unfair. Great greens and in very nice shape.

This is a wonderful course, beautifully maintained all around. The only possible knock is that if you haven't been playing for very long then it might be too difficult to you. None the less, its a must play for anyone who gets the chance.

Ridge Country Club
"Ridge C.C. Review"
Ridge may not be a very long course, its only 6200 from the tips but its tricky. All of the holes are very narrow making accuracy important. Also, most of the greens are tiny and very difficult to hold because they are the fastest greens on the south side of Chicago. The course superintendent, Gary Galecki, deserves a lot of credit because the course is not just in good shape, its immaculate. This course is a treat for any golfer regardless of skill level.
