This course has two extremely difficult finishing holes, both #17 and #18 measure over 460 yards in length. Hole #7, a 456-yard, par 4, is ranked as the #1 hole in the State of Georgia by "Golf Digest." In addition, "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 9th "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996, and in the category of the "Top 75 Public Courses" it was ranked 64th for 1990. All the undulating greens are "lightning fast" during the summer months. Water hazards only come into play on four holes.

This was a great course. Before it was nothing and the greens looked like parking lots but now, now, it has been re-done by Tom Fagio. its a great course

Winter Springs Golf Club
"Winter Springs Wetlands"
This course is challenging because your lie had better be in the fairway or you'll most likely be looking for it in some form of casual water or very thick rough. The fairways were either overly-tight, negelected, outright wet, or all three. The greens are a muddy, slow-medium to slow speed with only a fair amount of undulation. The par 3 greens are almost all too large and too flat to be much fun. I've played WPGC twice and didn't really enjoy the experience because of all the standing water in the rough and on the fairways. I'm rating the course at 2 stars only because they have reliable and frequent refreshment cart service.

Witch Golf Links, The
"Challenging and well maintained"
The Witch Golf Course near Myrtle Beach is a challenging and scenic course. Unlike other courses nearby that were built in clear cut areas, the Witch is in part forest and part swamp. One hole in particular is memorable, you drive onto an island fairway, then you use a medium iron to an island green, with swamp in all directions. Wild game is seen throughout the course area. If I lived in the Myrtle Beach area, I would obtain a membership at the Witch.
