Hidden Gem, Aug 30, 2005

This is a great value for your golfing dollar. Not a long drive from Madison but definitely better than the Madison city courses, for about the same price. Three of the longest playing par 4's in the area (3,8 and 17) and overall one of the toughest holes around (number 9), if you play the blue tees. Nice blend of old and new holes. Very nice greens. Lots of character. The bad news is that they do not have a convenient driving range.

"Florida Panhandle Gem"
Indian Springs Golf Club in Marianna, florida is a hidden gem. Just golf basics and no fancy club, but friendly atmosphere and staff to go with a really neat golf course. Easy to get to from I-10 and rates are more than competitive. Highly recommend it if traveling through the area. As a former member, I look forward to returning for a relaxing no hassel round.

The course is a fun and enjoyable course the water hazards are interesting and challenging. One hole very enjoyable roughly 50-60ft above the green hitting off a raveen down to the green 160 yds out.

"Great for Beginners"
My son and I(mother) started playing golf about a year ago and this was the first course we played on and we liked it. No pressure from other golfers and mostly everyone there were beginners, elderly or people who had been away from the game a while. The course does offer you challenges so it isn't a bad course. But if you are an experienced golfer you would probably be disappointed with this course.
