This is a shotmaker's course, but it's not too difficult. The greens are well maintained, and the width of the fairways vary between narrow and wide open. Water hazards (five small ponds) come into play on several holes. A beautiful view of Everett Bay can be seen from this course. Pine trees line the fairways, and the fast greens are somewhat sloped. The course's signature hole is #14, a 184-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over water to the green.

nice golf, bad service, Feb 17, 2008
reviewer: Chuck from Everett,Wa.
Just played Walter Hall this Sunday. Found the greens and the course to be in great shape. The price was nice as well. Unfortunately it stopped right there as the Tee Time I had booked 2 WEEKS IN ADVANCE was bumped by the pro shop to make room for a tournament and they did'nt bother to even give any advance notice to our foursome. Two of the smart ones went home and I waited over an hour past my scheduled time and then was treated to a blistering 5 hour round of golf afterwards. If your going to give a tee time stick to it!!!!! 6 hour golf AGGGGHHHH!!!

Like Costco on a Sunday, Dec 17, 2007
reviewer: R from Edmonds, WA
The most crowded course I have ever played. Stacked up the entire 18 holes - and we were playing fast. Stacked up 4 (no joke) groups on a par three on the BACK 9! Would not recommend playing on a weekend ever. On a positive note, it has a huge chipping practice area - the only thing I would return for.

Busy open public course, Aug 18, 2005
reviewer: Steve Cobb from Woodinville
Walter Hall is a busy, open, public course that is suitable for golfers of marginal skill. There is little difference between fairways and rough and very few sand traps or fairway trees. The front nine is flat and a bit monotonous. The back nine is better, with more interesting terrain, and more water and trees in play.
