The length of this course alone will challenge any level of golfer. The tree-lined fairways were built on rolling hills and have some sand bunkers. Water hazards come into play on several holes. The greens are large and have medium speed.

A Challenge For The Masters & A Walk In The Park, Jul 13, 2004

This is a fantastic and challenging course! They have numerous sets of tees so that you can make it as hard or as easy as you want it to be. If you want to test your skill, this course probably will do it more than any other course in the Miami Valley Area. Although the course is tough, it is also an extremely fun course to play. It is also extremely walkable, unlike the Beavercreek public course. This place is beautiful and well managed from the first to the last hole. Even though this is a private club, if I lived in the area I would rather pay the $200+ a month to play this course whenever I want with no waiting than spend nearly the same if not more waiting 5 times as long for half as good of a course at a public course.

Fantastic layout. They now have bentgrass fairways. The best value in the Dayton Ohio area for a country club.

"New design poor, operation run poorly..."
The scenery is nice and price is about average for a public course, but here's a few pet peaves: - The course was redesigned a few years back to try to squeeze a few more stokes onto par by making it a par 69 from the original 66. The results were in my estimation, terrible. They basically redesignated two long par 4's into short par fives, combined to par 3's into a par 4, and added a 50 yard new par 3. - The proshop is run extremely unprofessionally by retirees and kids under 16. I've also witnessed the "owner" hanging around and acting like a yahoo. Let's put it this way, not your typically golf links proprietor! - The greens are colored during the summer with some bluish dye that gets all over your clothes, clubs, and ball. I suspect it covers up the burned out yellow spots on the greens. - Finally, I've never seen greens like the ones at this place. They are kept long and are, by far, the slowest I've ever encountered. I've literally seen playing partners skull a wedge from 60 yards and it doesn't even roll off the green. Weird.

The fairways here are nice, the greens protect the course and make it extraordinarily challenging. It doesn't play long but you have to be a good iron player to shoot anywhere in the 70's.
