This course features large greens, similar to Augusta National, which are loaded with undulation, so putting is a real challenge. The signature hole is #14, a 442-yard, par 4, requiring the average golfer to give it all he has in order to reach the green in two. The electric carts here offer the electronic shot selector for distances to the flag sticks.

Rancho Solano presents the normal golfer a blend of narrow fairways with generous ones but the most memorable traits are indeed the greens. Being on the right level on a given green can be your ticket to a great round while being on the wrong one can ruin your day. The hilly area is well displayed as the course undulates through the Fairfield foothills and some of the views from the higher holes are outstanding.

A medium difficult course with variable slopes,and hill sides with a different lie angle on nearly every shot. Large undulating greens with good speed. The greens are near perfect right now but that doesn't mean they're a push over. Making it one the green is only the start. A challenge.
