This club has three nine hole courses that are played in three eighteen hole combinations. All courses have well-placed bunkers. The Pine Course is the shortest of the three and probably the easiest. The Creek Course is the most difficult because of its undulating fairways. The Mountain Course is of average difficulty, but experienced players will still enjoy playing here. The most difficult hole to play on all three courses is #4 on the Creek Course, a 611-yard, par 5, with a double dogleg fairway. "Golf Digest" rated the Creek/Mountain course as the 7th "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996.

Glen Garden Golf & Country Club
"History"
Glen Garden is a great place for Golfers of all ages. Playing on the course, it is easy to see how it produced such greats as Hogan and Nelson. They have the classic postage stamp greens. You must be accurate with your approach shot or you will miss the green. It is a great course for beginners as there are relatively few holes where a bad shot will lose your ball. The pace of play is very relaxed and the course staff are over the top friendly. The only down side to Glen Garden is that when it was built it was out in the country (1912?). In the 1950's Fort Worth grew and houses went up all around the course. Unfortunately these houses we small wooden houses and over the years it has become the bad side of town. There have been huge efforts by the local population over the last ten years to clean things up but it will take time. I highly recommend a visit to Glen Garden for any golfer. If you have an interest in history you will find it fantastic to consider you are walking on holy grounds.

"Nice course but difficult to get on........"
This is a great course, provided you can get on it. Always packed, best course in the area by far....I played here once and I am a resident, that shows you how hard it is to get a tee time here, used to be they only wanted non-residents because they pay more to play, (residents get a great discounted rate)...bad management idea there, of course residents complained and alot has changed....if you get the chance to play here by all means do it...you wont regret it...

according to an article in The Bradenton Herald the golf course has been sold and will be developed into 542 new homes.This is sad because it was the only walkable golf course in Manatee County. It will be missed.

Cabin Brook Golf Course
"Canbin Brook is a fair golf course"
I have playd Cabin Brook many times growing up in the central Kentucky region. The fairways are wide enough for most beginners and the terrain only comes into play on a couple of holes. With the rolling hills, it is a good place to learn how to adjust your shots in your stance. The price, sometimes, can be a bit much but, it is worth it for the casual duffer.
