Hidden Gem, Feb 02, 2009

Just inside the beltway, this little nine holer is a great play for the money. The condictioning is impecable; country club level grooming. The layout is straight forward but fun. Not a long course but interesting enough to keep you coming back for more. And did I mention the condictions? Superb!!

This course is one of my favorite in this area. Although it is easy, a couple of challenging 3 pars keep experienced golfers honest. Notable hole - #4 Dog leg around frog pond.

"Fun course... worth playing at least once"
It's a decent course. For the price, it's very good. That's why I'm giving it 3 stars. $14 is cheap for 18 holes of golf. Many of the greens are strangely small. Too small in some cases. Although, since many holes are very short, the small greens make them harder, which is good. No real bunkers. There are some strange dug up pits with sand in them, but they look like an afterthought. I wish they did the bunkers correctly, or just completely left them out. There are a few very fun holes on back-9. I recommend playing the course at least once. I did play the course during winter so the greens weren't too great, but it's understandale in February. I will definately play there more in the spring when conditions will be better. Especially being a college student, I'm all for the price.
