This eighteen hole course is unique in that the front nine exclusively consists of par 3's, while the back nine is an executive course with five par 4's and four par 3's. This picturesque layout has a clubhouse with a double-venue deck that overlooks the entire valley where the course is situated. The beautiful Straight River winds along the boundary of the course, hence its name. The greens are exceptionally large for a short course. They are undulating and very challenging. The fairways are open. The signature hole is #13, a 165-yard, par 3, which is tree-lined on the left and back. The green, which is 8,000 square feet and double-decked, was designed to incorporate a bowl-like arena contour.

very nice golf course usually can be pretty laid back. good for beginners, also challenging enough for the seasoned veteran. also have nice driving range

I played the course this weekend and the greens were in very good shape. It is a good course to work on your putting and your short game. There are a few longer holes so it isn`t all par three`s. This course needs more advertising.

This course surprised me. I had very low expectations when i arrived. But this little course impressed me. It was short, and relatively simple, but it was well-kept up. The greens were true and it was a fun overall experience for me. This is a great course for beginners and golfers of lower talent levels. It's definitely worth at least one round.

September 2004.. Just an average course. Not taken care of like it was in the early 90's. Cartpaths nearly undriveable due to broken pavement and potholes. Several greens in poor condition. Sandtraps washedout. Overrated and Overpriced!!!!

Shadow Hawk Golf Club
"Fall Visit"
Shadow Hawk is a beautiful venue. The course is hard to rate in the middle of winter when the trees are not in bloom and leafy. The fairways are open and more than fair. The greens are as challenging as they come. They are filled with undulations that make straight putts rare. The greens roll fair and pretty fast. The clubhouse is very classy and comfortable (in winter, nicer than the course itself). I would hope to play this course again in summer (heat and all) to see the beauty. It was still fun and challenging for this 15 handicap player,
