This course's fairways are mostly flat with an occasional hill; narrow on the back and medium width on the front. The back nine was built in 1991, and there are distinctive differences from the front nine. The greens are medium-sized, fast and some are elevated. The fairways and greens have sand bunkers. Water hazards (three ponds) come into play on five holes, including #14, a 523-yard, par 5, which has a pond guarding the front right side of the well-bunkered green.

All locked up, Jul 28, 2006
reviewer: gardiner golfer from gardiner, maine
As of late August 2006, the gate on driveway to this course is locked. The fairways and greens have been let go to seed ... not yet mowed once this season. What a shame!

COURSE IS CLOSED (dead), May 12, 2006
reviewer: james from farmingdale
The death of a once good course For some reason the owner wanted to go private and sent letters out over the winter bashing other private clubs in the area and asking people for money to join his club. I think he got zero response and now the course sits locked up. He had fired all his staff at the end of last year and due to his strange behavior no one will work for him.

Not a bad course, Feb 10, 2006
reviewer: james from gardiner, me
Course is usually in great shape and it's never crowed. Front nine is tough and requires all your clubs. Back nine is short and more open but a couple of the par 3's (11 & 17) can ruin your round if you are not careful. Club quit offering memberships a few years ago so many of the old members will run the owners and the place down.
