This links-style features spacious greens and tees. It is a course that is playable for all skill levels. Water hazards come into play on five holes, including #6, a 435-yard, par 4, which has a pond sitting on the right and in front of the green. The layout begins and ends with par 5's. The greens are very fast, and the narrow fairways are lined with bunkers and a thick cut of native prairie grass.

I think Bryan Borchardt overrated the course a little bit... It is a wide open course where you can shoot real low. Windy links course that is over priced, but it is worth playing at least once.

What a great course for all golfers, the staff was friendly, the food great, and the golfing magnificient. I would recomend anyone traveling to Minnesota to move southern hills to the top of your golfing destinations.

Mountain Valley Golf Course - Maple/Oak Course
"hidden gem"
Course was originally 18 but 9 new holes were added in the last few years. The three nines, oak, pine, and maple are all challenging with tight tree lined fairways with generous sized greens with a fair bit of undulation. Huge elevation changes on some holes offer great views of the surrounding PA countryside. Although not the longest course, although some holes are quite long it is easily the most difficult in the region due to the tightness and difficult putting greens. The greens are always in great condition so the difficulty I have with putting is assuredly not the course, It's all mine. Great value too, and a friendly and helpful staff makes these three nine hole courses a must when in the area.

Don't usually take the time to do this sort of thing,(leave comments), -BUT, this club is really nice! I can't believe there isn't a crowd waitin to get thru the gate! - VERY PLEASANT COURSE! "Nice Backyard Course"
Their fairways are like my front yard grass, the greens are slow as molasses and the tee boxes look like a dog did them in. There are no twilight prices and no off season prices. The course is made up of mainly par 3's and 4's. All 18 is fun if you like to play the same holes over again. My advice play the back 9 because it is a lot more challenging. Nice course to kick back a few. The bright side is there carts are $5 but you might as well walk and get your moneys worth. But overall it is a prime course for someone learning to golf. But as Ferhty would say "There's no flys on that one", does not pertain to this course.
